Welcome to my RWBY anime themed tactical gun fan site. If you like to geek out over weapons like Ruby Rose does, then you're in the right place! This website is primarily about my take on a fantasy anime gun build for my real-life AR-15 that I named Ruby Rose. This weapon was inspired by the anime character Ruby Rose along with her own weapon she calls "Crescent Rose", and are part of Rooster Teeth and Crunchy Roll's popular RWBY anime franchise. |

So what's this "It's Also a Gun!" thing all about anyway?
Within the RWBY Anime series there are several references to this phrase whenever the title character Ruby would describe her weapon to others. One example is when describing Crescent Rose to Jaune, Ruby said; "It's also a customizable high impact sniper rifle." (Jaune: "A-what?") Ruby: "It's also a gun." There are other funny references in the series to this phrase as well. In addition when you think about it, that phrase also refers to many of the other character's weapons in the series as they too have multiple modes that make them "also a gun". The first picture below references this as well, and is actually canon as Ruby actually said this in a particular scene.
Ruby's Crescent Rose weapon in "primary mode" looks like a scythe (because it is), and it can transform into it's secondary mode as a sniper rifle, making it also a gun. Although my Ruby Rose weapon cannot "transform" into another kind of weapon like Crescent Rose, she's a real wolf in sheep's clothing when it comes to how she looks and operates. Taking the look and feel of the gun as far as I could, my goal was to balance look and performance with the given available resources and funds I had. With all the embellishments I believe I've achieved, to an almost to a ridiculous level depending on who you ask, transforming my Ruby Rose weapon into the concept of a real weapon that looks more like a toy or an Airsoft rifle, but it's also a gun! In fact my build could illustrate just how far the imagination can go and what is actually available in order to make it happen.
